It's November 1964 and BR Standard Class 6MT Clan 4-6-2 No. 72008 Clan Macleod heads a stopping train for Glasgow over the River Eden north of Carlisle. In 1966. This loco was the penultimate member of its class to be withdrawn. None of the 10 locomotives was preserved. But a new locomotive No. 72010 Hengist is currently being built in Lancashire.
