Dyce, Parkhill, Newmachar, Udny, Logierieve, Esslemont, Ellon, Arnage, Auchnagatt, Maud Junction, Mintlaw, Longside, Inverugie and Peterhead. Opening in 1862. This long and winding railway to the busy fishing port of Peterhead served only small villages and farming communities along its 37 and 3 quarter mile route. The eastern half closed to passengers in May 1965 and despite the booming local offshore gas and oil industry to freight in 1970. The southern half soldiered on with freight trains for Fraserburgh until 1979. Since then. The entire trackbed has been reopened as a footpath and cycleway.
