Here's a story about these Steam Locomotives. These Steam Locos are 8F No.48628 GWR Manor and Class 4-6-0 No. 7824 Iford Manor. At Oxley now a suburb of Wolverhampton as 8F 48628 and its goods train are about to cross paths with Great Western Manor Class 7824 Iford Manor. The year is 1963 and the 8F is about to enter its own yard at Oxley as Iford Manor passes with a special. What is about to occur in trainspotting parlance is a black out when 2 trains pass and it hides the number of one of them. No. 48628 was built at Brighton Works during 1943 going into service in May of that year again with the LMS not the WD. In September 1966. It was withdrawn from Oxley MPD being scrapped in February 1967 at Cashmores Great Bridge. No. 7824 was built at Swindon Works and went into service in December 1951. It was withdrawn in November 1964 and also scrapped at Cashmores of Great Bridge.
