Wits Main & Branchline
Class 37 No. 37063. This locomotive first rolled out of Vulcan Foundry in 1962 as D6763 in 2 Tone Grey Sectorisation Livery and was assigned to Thornaby. Eventually, the locomotive was re-numbered to 37063. She moved from Thornaby to Gateshead and then shortly after that to Tinsley. The last ever recorded mainline repair was at Doncaster Works on the 20th of September 1988. She was transferred to Railfreight Distribution soon after that. Finally, many years later, after running her last ever mainline service, she was sent to one of HNRC's depots for scrap. A long time after, DRS acquired the locomotive and restored it slowly. After many years, she was revealed to the public for the first time ever on a special tour from the Ivy TMD in BR Grey Large Logo. She now operates a few passenger trains, the occasional stock move and quite a few railtours!
