Steam Crazy
Here are some unique engines to say the least. The first one is The LNER U1 Garrett Banking Engine. It was designed to have bigger coal bunkers and boilers, but the steam was poor quality and more dangerous than other engines due to the poor quality coal it was given. The second is an LMS Fury. The LMS in the 30s wanted an engine with strong pistons. The standard engine had around 2000 Psi Pistons and they struck a deal with a radiator company who made pistons with 4000 Psi. Good right? No. The owner of the radiator company died when a valve burst due to high pressure and the engine was weak and slow. It never saw service.
