HERITAGE: On Saturday 16th September whilst visiting a Model Railway Exhibition in Bala, I took a trip out to Llangower Station on the narrow gauge Bala Lake Railway. This Railway stands on the trackbed of the former Ruabon to Barmouth line which is the same line on which the Llangollen Railway now operates. Llangower Station is right next to the Lakeside and is a lovely spot... Photo 1: Hunslet No. 680 'George B' arrives at Llangower Station with the 11:50 Llanuwchllyn to Bala service. Photos 2 & 3: Hunslet No. 680 'George B' stands at Llangower Station with the 11:50 Llanuwchllyn to Bala service awaiting the arrival of the service in the opposite direction into the passing Loop to the North of the Station which would then allow its own departure towards Bala and then the Southbound service to enter Llangower Station. Photo 4: Hunslet No. 780 'Alice' arrives in the passing Loop North of Llangower Station working the 11:40 Bala to Llanuwchllyn service to allow Hunslet No. 680 'George B to depart towards Bala with the 11:50 Llanuwchllyn to Bala service before then entering Llangower Station itself. Photo 5: Hunslet No. 680 'George B' departs from Llangower with the 11:50 Llanuwchllyn to Bala service.
