"Big Blue No More" A string of five former Conrail GE C30-7A's are seen in front of Operail's heavy repair shops in Tapa, waiting for their last moments before they are completely scrapped for razor blades. The C30-7A's were built between 1984-88 and purchased only by one railroad who used these units hard. This railroad was Conrail. 50 units were built for Conrail in total. After the Conrail split in 1999. 19 of them were purchased by Ed Bukhardt's Rail World and imported to Estonia in 2002-03. Unfortunately all of the 30-7A have been retired since 2008. A large part of them were rebuilt to the C30-M class thanks to the help of Czechias CZ Loko. As 01.10.2024. All of the C30-7A's have been scrapped.
