The West Fife Way. It opened in 1852. It closed in 1968. Dunfermline Upper to Stirling. Dunfermline Upper, Oakley, East Grange, Bogside, Forest Mill, Alloa, Cambus, Causewayhead and Stirling. Built to serve the coalfields of West Fife. The Stirling & Dunfermline Railway opened throughout in 1852. Closure to passengers came in 1968 although the eastern and western stubs remained open for coal traffic until the 1980s. Passenger services between Stirling and Alloa were reinstated in 2008 and the 14 mile section of trackbed between Dunfermline and the outskirts of Clackmannan has been reopened as a footpath and cycleway.
