On 15th April 2015. The Future Rail Contractors are undertaking the final track fixing and gauge verification work at the Tweed River Bridge on the section of the reinstated Waverley Line between Galashiels and Tweedbank stations. A new illuminated cycleway/footpath has also been installed alongside the railway providing a safe and direct route to and from Galashiels for the residents of Tweedbank.
