Hardley Distant
On this Day 108 Years ago (22nd May 1915) the worst Rail Disaster in British history took place at Quintinshill near Gretna Green. As I was in the area today I took the opportunity to visit the site of the Crash (Pictures 1 & 2) and it's Memorial Plinth on the Car Park of the nearby Gretna Green Visitor Centre (Pictures 3 & 4) and took some time between passing trains to reflect on the Disaster. Remembering the 227 killed on this Day.
