A Class 81. No. 81019 Bo Bo 25 KV Electric 3388 hp. A batch of 25 locomotives built for use on all services out of London Euston along the West Coast Main Line. The Class 81s were later relegated to secondary duties such as station pilot and ECS workings and were withdrawn in the 1990s. No 81019 entered traffic in September 1961. Sporting the Glasgow Shields leaping salmon motif. It is seen at London Euston in July 1987 having been substituted on an Anglo Scottish Working. The locomotive was withdrawn in 1989.
