Brief examples of how skew/elliptical bridges were constructed. The Umberslade Estate in Tanworth in Arden anecdotes suggests, insisted that the new Birmingham/Stratford-upon-Avon Line bridge across their estate must have stone sourced from similar quarries to the Main House. Also, that it must appear aesthetically in linear context to the landscape. These were possibly the same people who passed Railway Acts of Parliament. Construction images not proven specific to bridge in question. Any copyrights not acknowledged, apologies. Please cite ref.
