Here's a story about this Steam Locomotive. This Steam Loco is an 8F No. 48135. In 1965. An engine with its train of ICI tanks heads north at Moore Lane near Warrington passing the old bricked up tunnel as a trainspotter notes down the number from the side of the track. The Stanier Engine was built at Crewe Works during May of 1941 and unusually went to the LMS rather than the WD. In 1950. It could be found at Northwich working the ICI Ash Trains from Buxton. A normal use for this class of engine. It returned to Northwich on 25th March 1957 from where it was withdrawn in September 1965 and scrapped at Cashmores of Great Bridge 3 months later.
