This early 1920s postcard depicts the Cornish Riviera Express at speed behind a new Castle Class 4-6-0 No. 4073 Caerphilly Castle. This milestone locomotive was designed by Charles Collett and built at Swindon Works in 1923. It was withdrawn from service in 1960. It has since been preserved.
