Gresley A3 Class No. 4471 'Sir Frederick Banbury'. First rolled out of the factory in 1922, 4471 entered service being one of the very few A3s not named after a racehorse. She worked freight and express passenger services. In 1942, she was rebuilt as a Thompson A1 Class and was eventually withdrawn in 1962. After many years, she was bought and preserved back to her original A3 Class and now resides at the Gridlinshire Heritage Centre. Another note, she has missing piston rods after an accident so she cannot move under her own steam.
