A Class 334 Juniper 25 KV was built by Alstom between 2000 and 2003 for the Strathclyde outer suburban services. The Class 334 Junipers were initially used on the Clyde Coast Services. They are now found operating the Helensburgh to Edinburgh via Bathgate and the Dalmuir to Lanark routes. No. 334033 is seen sporting the Strathclyde blood and custard livery as it arrives at Ayr on a very wet July day in 2003.
