Here's a story about this Steam Locomotive.
This Steam Loco is a Black 5 4-6-0 No. 44937.
An engine at speed here as Black 5 44937 heads north at Moore Lane near Warrington in 1965. The Stanier Locomotive was built at Horwich Works in November 1946. The last shed was Carlisle Kingmoor from where it was withdrawn on 31st May 1967 and scrapped at J McWilliams of Shettleston in November of that year.
