This steam loco is an 8F No.48735.
A smoky 8F can be seen heading north of Winwick Junction north of Warrington in 1966 with a mixed goods train. The Stanier 8F was built at Darlington Works going into service in November 1945. Its last shed was Northwich from where it was withdrawn on 14th October 1967 and later scrapped.
