Great Malvern to Ashchurch. It opened between 1840 and 1864. It closed between 1952 and 1961. Great Malvern, Malvern Hanley Road, Upton On Severn, Ripple, Tewkesbury and Ashchurch. This cross country line between Ashchurch and Great Malvern via Tewkesbury opened in 2 stages between 1840 and 1864. It never lived up to expectations and led a fairly quiet life until the section west of Upton On Severn was closed completely in 1952. The Eastern Section from Ashchurch to Upton On Severn lost its passenger service in 1961 and closed completely in 1964. Since closure several sections have reopened as footpaths and the section from Tewkesbury to Ashchurch is also a cycleway.
