This Diesel Loco is a Class 47. No. D1711.
A very attractive photograph of a Diesel of 1966. The guards van seen on the left is at the rear of the train on the opposite page at Wellington Signal Box. The Diesel D1711 was built by brush and went into service in January 1964. It was later given the TOPs number 47122 and was withdrawn in September 1987 being cut up at MC Processors of Glasgow in October 1989.
