Here's a story about this Steam Locomotive. This Steam Loco is a Standard Class 5. 4-6-0 No. 73129. Winwick Junction north of Warrington in 1962. This Standard Class 5 No. 73129 is the only surviving Class 5 of 30 to be built with Caprotti Valve Gear and Poppet Valves and it remains at the Midland Railway in Butterley as a static display. It was built at Derby Works in August 1956 and was withdrawn from Patricroft on 31st December 1967 before being taken to Woodham Brothers Scrapyard in Barry and rescued from there in 1972 by the Midland Railway Project Group. It was scruffy then. It is not now.
